The best thing to do is to get help when measuring, then it will be a little easier for you.  

Use a flexible/soft tape measure to measure the horse's head.

You measure the freedom of the cheekbones from cheekbone to cheekbone over the bridge of the nose.

The noseband straps should run in a straight line down from the poll and not "arch", so a slightly larger distance from the cheekbone is always better.

The circumference of the noseband/noseband is measured approx. 2 fingers directly under the cheekbone, put the measurement around the entire horse's head and keep the tape measure as straight as possible.

The length of the cheek pieces/bit straps will be from the end of the jaw straight across the poll to the other  Measured at the end of the mouth cleft. We have taken into account a standard bit ring of 5 cm.
